Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley was a popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was among the richest and most successful. He was in Shottas a film that has become a legend opposite Wyclef. Ky-Mani joined Shang Records and recorded his debut album in 1996, With Father Like Son. This was followed by several singles including Dear Dad, which topped British Reggae Charts. Who The Cap suited (remix), and Sensimelia. All of these have contributed to the growing reputation of Ky-Mani as a new reggae musician. In 1997 Ky-Mani joined forces with Praswell (Fugees) for Avenue an acclaimed cover from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley performed for the first time at Midem a world-class concert that was held in Miami. Marley did a live performance at the Cameo Theatre, which was broadcast by the Caribbean News Agency across 36 nations. Marley's name became the topic of a bid war. He signed with Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997 where he completed the collaboration with label friend
